Pixela Pixe VRF Browser Now Available
Toronto, Canada - December
9, 2005 - Pixela Corporation (TSE: 6731), a leading manufacturer of PC
peripheral hardware and multimedia software, announced today the
worldwide availability of its Pixe VRF Browser™, digital photo/movie
capture editing software for Apple Macintosh.
With Pixe VRF Browser, it
is now possible to directly view motion or still pictures recorded with
a DVD recorder or DVD video camera on a Mac. Pixe VRF Browser also
supports viewing and editing of popular DVD formats not supported by
Mac such as DVD-VR. Any movie recorded in the Video Recording Standard
is readable, as are DVD-R, VOB format files used for DVD-Video, and
+R/+VR files. The downloadable version of Pixe VRF browser is available
for $49.95 for Macintosh in Pixela’s e-store at
www.pixela-1.com.
Pixe VRF Browser is
especially designed for users wanting to edit DVD recorded movies on
their computer. By using the included “Group of Picture (GOP)” MPEG
EDITOR, you can directly edit video from DVD disks. Video from the DVD
disk can then be saved as content for DVD-Video authoring. Once
captured the file can also be saved as elementary stream, required by
popular programs such as DVD Studio Pro. VRF Browser also works in
conjunction with Capty MPEG Edit EX™, which performs highly precise
frame editing. Just like more expensive professional software, frame
editing allows for finer, more accurate editing than GOP, enabling you
to precisely splice and edit specific scenes.
